Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises

As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Life is a journey, not a destination.” The small steps we take today will shape our path for tomorrow. Everything we want to achieve can be made possible by taking baby steps towards our goal. If you want to be a successful guitarist, you have to make use of the very first opportunity of playing your guitar at a small local gig than dream about a stadium tour with millions of fans on your first try. Everyone who has made it big today was small at once upon a time. Every opportunity that life throws at us acts as a stepping stone towards something big. In the present day and age, everyone wants to achieve their goal in an easy way. People look for fast results than efficient ones. The inability to compete with the world fills us with anxiety and feelings of hopeless. The failure to thrive is a constant source of fear we face. It is important to understand that there is no shortcut to success and one has to work hard to earn his glory. Everything falls into pieces in its own time and one must not strain one’s mind over the pressure to achieve things.

The goals one set in his/her life can be achieved at one’s own pace when they understand the importance of taking things slow. This not only allows one’s mind and body to breathe and think effectively but also increases the chances of success. Slow and steady always wins the race, right? When the desired goal is broken down into smaller achievable goals, task completion becomes easier and boosts self-confidence. This process makes the task of goal completion realistic, quickly achievable and acts as a smaller opportunity of a larger objective. The breaking down of steps varies according to the bigger picture, motivation, and intention of a person. This produces a sense of accomplishment and encouragement to move on to the next task with more enthusiasm.  It also allows us to pause and reflect on life.

Learning to build on small accomplishments is the key to success on a bigger scale. At the same time enjoying the process of search is crucial. One must remember that the process of arriving at every single goal brings about a lot of changes within and makes a person much more matured. We get an opportunity in our life almost every day, it is up to us to grasp and utilize this opportunity. Opportunity knocks at every door only once. What matters is how we answer the opportunity that has knocked at our door.  We never know when a small opportunity might act as a deal-breaker and give us the platform for something bigger and bring about amazing changes in our life. Failure to grab every little opportunity, thinking it’s irrelevant can lower down our pace to success. The result is that we suffer or repent all our life. Therefore, it’s extremely important to stay alert and conscious of every little opportunity that life offers us.
