Success doesn’t just find you. You have to go out and get it.

Success doesn’t just find you. You have to go out and get it.

Imagine the job of a postman. He has the daily duty of delivering loads of letters to various households or offices placed at numerous locations. The 1st day at such a work isn’t easy. In fact it is the literal translation of all the symbolic and spiritual dialogues which asks individuals to find things that would make life easy/ smooth/ tangle free! Here the person at work literally needs to overcome the physical hurdles at road like the maddening traffic, scorching heat on the summer days or maybe the chilly wind on winter evenings. The aim is straight, to get the letters delivered on time. The onus of finding out the address is not a cake walk too. Which main road? Then which lane? Which apartment? And finally the door. If we look carefully into this daily chore of this particular professional’s life, the literal meaning of getting out and finding something becomes so clear. So crystalline. Life in general calls for such occasions no matter which the person concerned is. A doctor, an engineer, a school teacher, a home maker running a home delivery business, a college goer in a fix whether to choose higher studies or get into the rat race of increasing the bank balance, a school goer with eyes full of dreams….dreams to achieve something great or small but something. Yes dream acts as the oil in a lamp. Without it the lamp cannot burn bright and clear.

Success is a word very relative. Just like relative speed and relative motion, it completely depends on the person’s inner belief and wish of course. What kind of job Mr X wants to do or which stream of study Miss S wishes to pursue and what they have actually landed up doing basically lay mainly determines if X or S is successful or not. It is so relative that to Miss S Mr X might be a successful one, but in the judgement of Mr X he has not been able to achieve even 40% of his dream. It is so entangling at times that Mr X sitting at a distance might judge Miss S and conclude that she is dead failure personified. But Miss S might be very happy with the field of study she has pursued. Basically success is that sense of consciousness which satisfies or dissatisfies one’s inner soul. Yes society always tries to load one’s thought process through numerous other judgements. But basically it’s one’s own notion! The sight of one’s inner eye.

Just like the dinner from a favourite restaurant won’t come walking to one’s doorstep or a dress in a shop won’t find its way to the closet of Mrs G all by itself, success too demands a search. Yes, this search is rather a more complex process. But nevertheless it is a search process. Since we do not live in the time of real magic, we need to make an effort to get out and search for success just like any other thing.
