Only you can change your life. No one can do it for you

Only you can change your life. No one can do it for you

What is life but an assimilation of moments? A journey from the start to an eventual outcome with a timeline that is landmarked with periodic intervals of milestones. In the larger course of life, it is these smaller milestones dotted across the stretch of one’s timeline that ultimately adds up and combines to become a larger objective or mission that has been completed. Life is a journey and not a destination and it is through the endless annals visited in the course of this journey that we have to realize our purpose in this life. Life throws in generous amounts of help in the form of constant hints as well.

But one has to be consciously aware and in control of themselves to be able to observe the subtle hints and make sense out of them. Unless one takes interest in the course of their own life, no one else can help them. While a teacher or a guru can wilfully oblige a student by unearthing the mystery and showing them the purpose of this life, in order to see it to its fruitful outcome, one has to undertake the mission by themselves.

A well-wisher can at best show them the vision or the path to their goal, but the journey for the same has to be responsibly undertaken by the incumbent themselves. Once a person ascertains his or her goal in life, or the purpose for their birth in this lifetime, nothing can stop them from taking control of the reigns of their life and propagating it in the direction of victory.

If you think that you will live a life relying on others then you will fail. This is not a pessimistic assertion but the most blatant truth ever. Relying on others strength may give you quick success but in the long run, you will suffer. For example, suppose you are appearing without any preparation for an entrance exam. And you want to cark that exam. Under such circumstance, you take the resourceful notes from another student. In the exam, you write down the learn-by-heart answers and you pass the exam with flying colours. Subsequently, you enrol in the course but during the interactive class, you fail to understand the subject. So, though you cracked the exam still you could not progress in the course because of the lack of your merit. Relying on the notes of the other student without understanding it cost you very dearly.

Hence, what you do yourself is what you get. You can only live on your own karma. This is the line from the Vedas. It means your actions will be your guide to life. So if you want to change something do it yourself. If you achieve success in the process then you can look further ahead. And if you fail in an attempt then you gain experience. In every case, you win. But if you rely on other you may win temporarily but you will be an eternal loser.
