By Failing to Prepare You Are Preparing To Fail

By Failing to Prepare You Are Preparing To Fail

The above quote of Benjamin Franklin means that success to any pursuit can only take place with thorough preparation. Preparation involves putting a lot of hard work, discipline, sacrifice, consistency, organization, etc. Will to win is extremely important for success, but many people have will to win but are not willing to put time and hard work to become successful.

The will to prepare to win can be as important as the will to win. If you see the great performers you will notice that all of them possess the will to prepare for the win again and again. All the achievements made by these people did not happen by chance and they have prepared themselves strenuously to reach the goal.

Only 1% of the people in the world have etched their name as the riches people had seen life through the lens of need, time and aspiration. They have all labored persistently to prepare them to reach the dizzy heights. Opportunity is created daily and is available to all of us, yet a few can only prepare themselves well to grab the opportunity.

When people seize the opportunities and start preparing it can create the defining moment to emerge as winners. A phenomenal success can be achieved when preparation meets such opportunities to manifest in best creations. When you practice the art of the preparation, you can hone your skills that can be immensely helpful to reach your target.

Preparedness can enhance self-discipline:

You can start forming a good habit or routine and it can help you to regulate yourself and to gain better self-control. Self-discipline can be highly important to meet the unexpected or the predictable events of your life and it can be the basic foundation for a happy life. When you start becoming prepared you can discipline yourself to find enough time to prepare. You will get over the bad habits of procrastination and can become mindful of the things that you are doing.

Getting prepared can help you to enhance your strategic thinking:

When you start your preparation before a vacation or a meeting or even dinner, you can start having an inner dialogue with yourself. You can think of the agenda of the meeting or the presentations that you are going to make or the detailed itinerary of your vacation, etc. The degree of strategic thinking required for a job increases with the complexity of the tasks.  All the detailing that you make beforehand of starting the job can go a long way to make you mistake-proof and to bring a grand presentation.

Preparedness can bring a lot of flexibility:

You can come out from compartmentalized thinking and can develop more flexibility and fluidity in your approach with self-discipline. You will able to embrace many other ideas and can make changes or fine-tune your strategy to make your planning sharper. With a greater degree of flexibility, you can learn more and become more effective, which can be vital for your success.

It helps to develop resilience:

Being prepared can help you to bounce back even if the plan did not go well or you meet failure. Only through preparedness, you can develop your mental resilience and make your way through the failures to the ultimate success.
